They always say that you will find the person you are destined to be with when you least expect it. I was at a point in my life where I had given up on the hopes of finding that person for me. I just had one dating disaster after another. One night a very good friend of mine,Lisa, invited me out. I wasn't going to go because I had plans to go out on a date already. As fate would have it, he cancelled on me. I decided I wasn't going to let my night be ruined so off I went to meet up my friend. William was part of that group of friends that night. As I'm sitting at the table, Lisa shows me a text that William sent to her asking "who is your friend?" He was sitting at the other end of the table and I had not had the opportunity to be introduced to him yet. As I got up to say goodbye to everyone, I went over and introduced myself and then quickly left (I wanted to remain a bit mysterious). A few nights later I ended up at Lisa's house for a football game. There we got a chance to talk a little bit more but not for long. I asked Lisa a lot of questions about him and what she thought of him because I knew her opinion would not steer me wrong. Well, she thought the world of him so I decided to put it out there and told her that she could give him my number. I normally do not do that but something in my gut was telling me that he was going to be different. Luckily, he texted me the very next day. By the end of the day he called me and we were on the phone for 3 hours that night talking non stop. It was like we had known each other for years. There wasn't ever any of that akward silence, just engaging conversation. We went out on our first date 3 days later and we have been together ever since. We knew immediately that we didn't want to be without each other and were so excited to see what the future was going to hold for us.

We are having a small, intimate ceremony and reception with our beautiful daughters, family and a few of our closest friends on 4/5/13. We are both fortunate to have such wonderful friends and family and I could not think of a better way to celebrate the start of a new life together.
